Sakis is the CEO and founder of the Positive Academy.
Sakis is Greek Londoner full of energy, vigour, enthusiasm and passionate about human development. He preaches, teaches, coaches, inspires and instils the benefits of a positive mind, body and spirit. All three are important in striving to become the best version of ourselves and live a life worth living. Boredom, procrastination, fear, shyness, apathy and helplessness has spread into many societies like an epidemic, resulting in a loss of drive, goals and a monotonous lifestyle. We were born to flourish and enjoy this adventurous timeline called life. An Applied Positive & Coaching Psychologist who has been involved in the field of psychology for twenty years. He Co-founded the Harley Street Academy of Psychotherapy in 1997 and trained for a year in real practical psychoanalytic methods. However, his innate dynamic nature was looking for a more direct approach of moving forward towards wellbeing.
Sakis gained business experience by managing companies in London, USA and Europe and evolved further through neuro-linguistic and cognitive behavioural programmes. A Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Psychology and over a decade of educating adults was interesting, but his passion for human development was reignited when he discovered Applied Positive Psychology. Sakis knew right away that this was a field dedicated to exploring what is right with people, instead on focusing on weaknesses and disorders. The University of East London was one of the first Higher Education Institutions in Europe to offer a Master’s Degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. The journey turned out to be one of the most challenging, motivating and engaging experiences. Having had the privilege of coaching many clients and using the psychological mechanisms of human development through the methods of Positive Psychology has been rewarding.
Living with a positive mindset along with taking care of your body and spirit to the best of your abilities can lead to a fulfilling life. He grew up as a shy kid until he learned how to find and work on his strengths. Training mind and body helped Sakis to evolve into a confident person who loves coaching people towards wellbeing. Knowing your personal, professional and general life goals, and the mechanisms to achieve them, is an enlightening experience.
